General Comments
This is the latest offering from director Ron Howard. Taking us inside of the famous Frost interview with Nixon in 1977 we are able to see both sides as they first meet, prepare and participate. Howard stays pretty much on track of the truth (although there is some artistic license taken) and we are treated to an in depth look at both Frost and Nixon as they face off on the issues that defined Nixon's presidency like Vietnam and Watergate. Both these men had reasons for doing the interview and squared off knowing there would be a winner and a loser when all was said and done. Both actors are superb in the their respective roles as the English jetsetting entertainer and the former president of the United States, doing a good job drawing us into the intensity of the situation. Howard does a wonderful job making this film both entertaining and insightful.
