Well, I bought one. Based on what I read here, it was a no brainer. Since childhood, I've have always leaned towards Crosman products. Now, later in life, the product is not nearly as well built as it used to be. Enter the Crosman 2240 CO2 pistol. I picked this up today for some general target shooting. Right out of the package it was shooting great. Adjusted the sights for windage to bring the shots left, and she was dead on. My basement is small, so I only had a distance of 12 feet from the muzzle to the target. Each of my targets had 5 bullseyes. I did five shot groups on each one, and no word of a lie, you can cover the group with a dime! I need to get some more distance to shoot from, but wow, this thing is accurate and consistent! Who needs micrometer sights! The only mod I may end up doing is adding some wooden grips. Overall, the 2240 is of the quality I remember as a 12 year old, when you could buy guns from Woolco in the general isles. Those were the days! I strongly recommend this pistol to anyone, and foresee parts availability being very strong for years to come.
