Good Points

Last Remnant is very cinimatic and pretty, has a cool army building system, complex weapon upgrad system, lots of game play and lots of fleshed out side quests. magic effects look great. english voice actors are very good.

Bad Points

load screens are pleantiful, but shorter than those in Lost Odessy. The frame rate during combat is terrible. some dialoge seems to be missing.combat can drag. but the worst thing is the design. The races seem like cookie cutter races from all past square titles. moogle like magic users and Galka type fish guys as the brutes fighters, you will recognize the rest, this really needs to be addressed as its getting old. everything from the towns to the fields to the characters look like its right out of final fantasy 8-11. I could swear that the protaganist Rush is a Hume male in the starter outfit from FF11. in a word, the design, while stunning, shows almost no imagination.

General Comments

If you like JRPGS, specifically from square, then you will like this game as i do. It has many neat aspects and i am glad that square is trying to court the american gamer, but it doesn't come anywhere near to those asperations. and won't they let me customize my charaters look? common people!!

anyway the are moments of real joy here so if you have lots of time and like stratagy turn based combat, then go get it. i see myself plaing it for quite some time in the future.

however if you like your rpgs to be more, "western" this title is not for you.
