I was told if I moved they will grant my request to cancel the membership but it never happened. I read the fine print and wrote a letter to them regarding availability of a Lady of America in the area and still they disregard the request. I just canceled the credit card and did not give the new information to them and so what they report to credit bureau.

I am in the same situation. I relocated about a year ago, before I moved I went to the gym to notify it and they gave me a number to whom I had to send evidence of my relocation, after trying for a couple of months calling to the number provided I gave up since they never answer the phone or return messages. Now they are trying to charge almost double than if I would have just paid the stupid contract.
