Bad Points

Doesn't like changes in humidity. It might even sound different if the wood is to dry, plus I've had it where the 1st and 2nd strings would not sound from the 11th fret and higher. Intonation seems to be adjusted more then some of my other guitars. I also don't think it's very durable, I try not to bang it around. Large fretboard will turn off some players, and if you like a really bright sounding guitar this isn't for you.

General Comments

Excellent tone with great bottom end. Very loud for an acoustic, works well in outdoor situations. Larger fret board works for some players. Also this guitar always ends up sounding great in studio recordings. I've had it reworked twice because I can't find another guitar that competes with it. Frets last along time. Other musicians I respect have made offers on it, but I won't part with it. Bottom line is that this is a great guitar for the price, if you can still find one.
Overall this is my favorite acoustic. I've played many, and I've heard people bad mouth Tacoma, but I think their overall work is pretty good. I've only played one JM16, so I don't know the consistency of this model. If you like a larger guitar, and love loud, full, and bassy bottom end, and want a guitar that excels in several applications check out the JM16!
