Good Points

Feels like the real gun
Good blowback
Fires rapidly and accurately at range of 5m I had the opportunity of testing it at.

Bad Points

Awkward safety

£140 for no fun, instead: frustration!

General Comments

I got this gun for Christmas and was initially very happy with it! After 5mins things went downhill fast. The gun became inconsistant in firing, upon inspection of the magazine the firing pin had only pushed the pellet forward about 1mm. Changed the gas canister to no avail.

Went back to the gun shop and they had the same problem when they tested it, so they agreed to swap it for another example of the Px4 that they had in the shop.

Worked perfectly for the first 8 shots, however it became inconsistant again and we put this down to low gas in the canister since it had been a demo gun in the shop. I tried to take out the mag but it was stuck, after half an hour in total of trying to prise it out, shake everything the clip release button was still not functioning. (Replacing the gas had no effect on its inability to fire or release the clip)

The mag is still stuck and I am going back to the shop tomorrow to replace my second Px4 Storm with another model that will hopefully work!

I cant have been unlucky with TWO faulty guns, it therefore must be poor design! Don't buy it!

(I used .177 flat-head airgun pellets throughout the above)

The low gass would definatly cause the inconsistancy of the shots , i also once had the same jammed mag problem , it could be due to two things , one the gas was so low that the pellet got stuck halfway inside the barrel and the other half of the pellet still halfway inside the rotary mag .
two the mag itself is causing the problem wich i think is more likely what causes the jam as in my pistol , some times the rotary cylinder when you pull the trigger did not line up exactly in the right place , to remove the jamed mag pull back the slide and keep it pulled back then from the top use a small screwdriver and carefully push on the mag but be carefull dont force it too hard , also if you have a barrel cleaning rod try pushing it down the barrel , the pellet may be stuck , push the pellet back into the cylinder , if that is the reason for the jammed mag then once you do that the mag will pop out just fine , hope this helps .

Thanks tbonesnake for replying. I have since sorted out the problem, you have to push each pellet into the magazine til there is a tiny 'click' sound, it needs to be about 0.5mm into the hole. If you do this the gun will not jam and the mag will not get stuck

I have had no more problems with the gun, since I did this. I also change the gas as soon as there is a loss in performance!

Thats good to hear I'm pleased you're having trouble free fun with that gun ;-) I too found preseating the pellets helps a great deal, I've also moved on to just using the steel bb's, absolutely no jams with the bb's and a major increase in power. I know that the fps drops using bb's as they are not as tight a fit in the barrel as pellets but using steel bb's my px4 is putting clean round holes straight through very thick glass bottles even on very cold days where as pellets just plink off the glass causing no damage. I'm finding the steel bb's way way more fun and the accuracy is still pretty decent.

Hmm, I might try steel BB's then! Thanks for the tip.
