Not as powerful as a pump type air pistol but good for rapid firing. Accuracy is average for an air gun but at only 410fps, it's not going to be accurate at a very long range. Nicely finished, durable and inexpensive. Couldn't ask for more at the price. This pistol is fairly accurate at close range. I've shot squirrels with it, and while it doesn't kill them, they do seem to notice that they've been hit. (they are a real nuisance here, which is why I want to get rid of them). My Gamo PT-80 uses are mainly as an at-home practice pistol for home defense, and although my "real" home pistol is a .45 ACP XD, this pistol allows me to practice tactics against potential home invasion morons, with card targets. It also LOOKS real enough to scare someone away from the front door, if you don't point it at them. (size of barrel diameter gives it away)

The PT-80 seems to be relatively reliable, but I'm having some trouble with C02 that I've been trying to fix myself. (which is what brought me to this website) I think that the Gamo PT-80 is not really powerful enough to shoot rodents and kill them. A pump air-gun would be adequate, but this is really better for my purposes, since I also own large caliber handguns and rifles. Still......if you were a good enough shot, you could confront an armed intruder "and put his eye out."
