I ordered a waistcoat over the internet. Used the measuring table supplied by waistcoatsdirect. When the waistcoat was delivered it was too short at the back. I mailed the supplier and he answered back that I probably did not properly measure the back.
So I redid the measurement using their exact indications. I still got the same length. Surely I was dissapointed but I realise that this is a risk ordering over the internet. I mailed the supplier that the measurement was the same as before. He answered that they could not do a remake of the waistcoat.
I then proposed a deal. I mailed him that I was prepared to order a new waistcoat (and pay for it!). I tried to negociate a discount and in return I would supply them with some nice pictures of the waistcoat in full use (the waistcoat was going to be used in a dancing display).
And then it went very silent. I tried to mail several times but no reactions at all.
After a couple of weeks I mailed on a different e-mail address asking a very generic question about ordering some fabric (of course I used another name since I had not received a response to my previous mails). To my surprise (or maybe not) he answered within a day.
All this confirmed my previous opinion: ordering a vest is ok, paying for it is ok but giving service is beyond their goals.
I am very dissapointed!
