I personally do not have the Numark Axis 8 CD Deck, however 3 of my DJ Partners do. Therefore, i have used and still do use their Numark Axis 8 CD Deck and 9's usually every week. My first DJ partner who has the Numark Axis 8 CD Deck - the scratch effect 90% of the time does not work. My 2nd DJ partner who has the Numark Axis 8 CD Deck - the scratch effect does not work at all. My 3rd DJ partner - the cue button doesn't work. If u were to get systems of this price i would recommend american audio cdi 300. it might not have all the special effects but it is definately more durable and long lasting and are the same price

Finally, Numark's CD players (at least the Axis 8's I own) appear to be missing a Low-Pass filter to lop off the highest frequencies at the post-DAC filter stage, or they implemented the wrong one.
