Good Points

Unbelievable battery life, well built, nice quality fit and finish, superb reception

Bad Points

Keyboard backlight is prone to switching itself off and then on again - feint purple hue to the camera

General Comments

I'll admit I am probably one of the hardest people to please when it comes to mobile phones (just have a look at my review of the Samsung F480).

I have never been a great fan of Nokia phones but my wife got an N96 and I was generally impressed with the software enough to go onto eBay and get an E71. The software to connect it is very easy to use and reliable (Samsung take note!)
The battery life is excellent, I have bluetooth on all the time some browsing on WiFi and 3G and its still got plenty of life in the evening..

Connection to bluetooth and WiFi is very easy and the WiFi wizard meant I was able to connect to a network and get my emails when I was out of mobile phone coverage.

On the downside, the voice dialling can be a little odd as it uses it's own interpretation so if you're calling someone you need to use the text to speech engine to work out how to pronounce your friends name, but this is a little hiccough once its worked out its not really a problem. I like the fact that when I'm driving and the phone rings, it announces the persons name (although it's a bit robotic) so I can decide if I want to answer it.

The keyboard takes a little getting used to but its not too bad and there's nice feedback when you press the buttons and it works nicely, there is a slight problem where the backlight for the keyboard switches itself off and on again although this may be the subject of a firmware update along with the purple hue on the camera when those bits are sorted out it will go from 9.5 to a 10 (told you I was difficult to impress).

I'll be honest I'm now a convert to Nokia, they really have raised their game and I'm really impressed with the build quality.
