This is a great target rifle but does not have enough velocity (664) for hunting. Very light and easy to pump for smaller shooters. Be prepared for lots of cheap plastic at this price point. The Crosman 664x powermaster air rifle is lightweight, inexpensive and accurate. I do think that there is not enough power though for hunting.
