Good Points

I love my jetsetter and have had it now 3 years

Bad Points

lack of communication regarding going into administration

General Comments

I had to call out a service engineer a couple of weeks ago to repair my mot massage unit, he came, however it took him 2 attempts to fix the problem, I was then presented with a bill for £250, My tub is 3 years old and I was not told that when I called them out they were in administration and my 3 years extra warranty from Hotsprings was useless. If I had been told of this fact I would not have had the repair done. It was only the fact the unit was well under the original 5 year warranty that I had no hessitation in getting it repaired, they have since reduced my invoice by £75 to cover the call out charge for the second day but I am still left with a bill for £180 which I am not willing re pay. would appreciate any comments

Just some advice, up to you if you take it on board: Under the circumstances I think the reduction of £75 is reasonable and the remaining £180 is certainly not overpriced. Regretfully the extended warranty obligation has ceased when the company was liquidated and the warranty repair contract work was carried out by a third party company who now cannot receive payment from the manufacturer due to the circumstances. As the repairing company are nothing to do with the manufacturer the responsibility of payment is yours. I would strongly suggest you pay this company as they are within their rights to chase payment for an unpaid bill and you don't want a CCJ against you. If you feel strongly about it then you could always sent the bill to the administrators.

thanks for the advice, I certainly do not want any ccj against me, will have to see what happens in the meantime as I have been told by Hotsprings just to wait and see and they have not made any further demands
