Good Points

TONS of lyrics and chords.
Chord charts for each song.
Alternative fingerings for each chord.
Automatic transposition feature.
The ability to edit, almost infinitely.
The ability to share your work.
The ability to help others improve their work.
The option to auto scroll the document to you can read and play along together.
The ability to alter the font size to your liking.
The ability to share your songbook with others.
The ability to share other peoples' songbooks.
The ability to instantly transpose from guitar tuning to various other instrument tunings (banjo, mando, uke, lefty guitar).
The ability to source the original work.

Bad Points

Garbage in, garbage out.
Awesome in, awesome out.

Since Chordie is a search engine, the quality of its content is dependent on the work that exists in the field. Most of it is good - and all can be edited once you put it into your songbook.

Occasionally there are saving glitches - but they are infrequent and minor.

General Comments

Chordie is an awesome tool. I began playing guitar in the '70s. Back then we had to listen to the transistor radio, chat with friends, and try to piece everything together ourselves (back then I had practically EVERY song messed up in some way). Chordie blows that process away by adding so many easy to use features that it is ridiculous. In my life I've gone from having good info on too few songs to being literally overwhelmed with accurate, easy-to-manipulate and -use information.

The ability to build upon other peopl's contributions is incredible in itself. When the computerized, database powers (transposition, tunings, etc.) come into play - Chordie is just short of a miracle.

Highly recommended.
