Bad Points

In my case, the products weren't in stock. I felt the standard of customer service was disappointing.


General Comments

I ordered 12 bottles of wine from Tesco Direct to arrive well in advance of Christmas. On the day of delivery, I was phoned to say that there was a problem - the products weren't in stock. If I wanted to re-order, I would have to ring customer services to do so. This seemed to me to be the customer doing the company's work for it, so I cancelled, but rang Customer Services to register my dis-satisfaction. I was spoken to by an assistant, who, amongst other things, described my use of a voucher from an on-line agent as 'potentially fraudulent'. I felt his attitude could be described as officious. Tesco is a huge company obviously. It has so many customers that I assume it can afford to take me for granted and apparently treat me with mild contempt. I can't see myself going back!
