General Comments

Amazon has over the years become my preferred online retailer. I always check the prices of several websites, but if Amazon are among the lowest I will buy there as long as I can get my free delivery (if I'm only buying one book I often go with Play.com as it's always free delivery).

In previous years, I've suffered from slow pre-Christmas deliveries, but this year they seem to have sorted themselves out. I placed an order for an electronic gadget at 10.30 on a Friday night and it was delivered to me at 2.30 pm the following Monday. This was not the expensive express delivery, but the free delivery. I'm absolutely amazed and grateful. I subsequently bought some DVDs and books from Amazon, also with free delivery, and they all arrived within a week (one after 3 days and the other two after 5 days).

Amazon continues to be my first stop for online shopping.
