General Comments

I began my policy last year at 1200 quid for third party fire & theft which is cheap for a 18 year old who has just passed did Pass Plus in Jan which reduced this by about 27 paid 100 quid a month for 9 months which stopped in aghust, got my renewal reminder in November and was about to renew when I went through check details and found my birth date was wrong, it stated I was a year older than I was (18) it stated I had lived in the uk for 18 years and was born in the UK. So I rang them to change my birth date for renewal as you cannot do this online for some unknown reason. They said it would cost me 40 pounds to do as I had been paying the wrong price all year, I stated that I had originally put in the correct age but they did not care I had had cheaper rates, fair enough. I had to post them my driving licence to prove I was younger? And received a new email with an increased renewal price, fair enough. However I got a letter through today saying I have 7 days to pay 240 pounds otherwise my current policy is cancelled and I loose my no claims. I ' ve just spent 50 minutes on the phone with a lady who was helpful but she explained I did owe the money couldn ' t be reduced put onto next year ' s policy or anything and I was totally liable. I am certain I put it in right the first time on policy creation, they say it was not and I have to pay end of. So now I am lumped with a 240 quid fine that has to be paid within a week, quite a lot for a student working part time...
