Good Points

The food in the restaurants was very good, the gardens and landscaping lovely and many unusual decorations that serve as eye-candy such as a large snail crawling on the top of a wall or dancing Thai girls on the top of tall columns in the Village Square. There are many shops that sell souvenirs; the Ship Shop sells Portmeirion China as does the Seconds Shop and my favorite, The Prisoner Shop sells merchandise dedicated to the cult-television show ' The Prisoner '.

Bad Points

Too far from my home in the U.S.A..

General Comments

Portmeirion Village Hotel resort is a lovely and eclectic resort made to resemble a small village and was used as the Village in the `1960s cult television show ' The Prisoner '. There are restaurants, hotel rooms and suites located in the main hotel on the beach or in buildings scattered around the village rented by the day and self-catered cottages, which can be occupied on a weekly basis.
