Good Points

It was cheap to buy (special offer).


Bad Points

Poor tech support, poor updating, horrible nagging (that can't be turned off) when subscription expires, uses a lot of resources.


General Comments

I would not recommend installing this product. Most of the time it's fine (after all, it's supposed to run in the background and not be noticed). Once, however, the auto-update failed and required me to manually download and install the full client. It manifestly failed to do so, citing the fact that a previous uninstall hadn't finished. After trying everything tech support suggested, including editing Registry entries, I had to concede defeat and opted for AVG's free scanner.

On my other PC, again the program worked relatively quietly in the background (whilst consuming a vast amount of RAM it has to be said). When it came to the end of the subscription however I was bombarded with 'information alerts' on the desktop that I couldn't find a way to stop (there's an option to turn them off but it obviously doesn't apply to those ones)! That, along with the emails stating how I *must* re-subscribe *now* to even use the program at all (surely I should be able to use it even without virus & program updates if I so wish?) made me make the decision to uninstall and try something else.

Not impressed.

    I found this review helpful because I too have been having trouble with the firewall. Keeps sending me messages I don't understand and pop ups remind me that I need to enable firewall and I have clicked on Yes a hundred times by now. I have emailed them twice. Second time they have not answered, first time took about 4 days before I got a reply which was completely unhelpful.
