Bad Points

Rude drivers who are verbally abusive to you when they are in the wrong. Buses do not turn up on time. Sometimes do not turn up at all.


General Comments

The 505 bus route has made late on quite a few occasions with late arrivals, sometimes no arrival at all. Today I dropped my son at the bus stop. He was crossing the road at the same time the bus pulled up at the stop to let somebody off. He got to the door of the bus, the driver closed the doors, told my son no and drove off. This was at 7.40am this morning. I had to drag my sick self down to Chingford Station as I was fuming, the next bus does not come until 9.10am. When I got to the bus stop at Chingford, I met the driver and confronted him. I asked him why he had left my son knowing full well, he's a school child thats needs to use the services and catching the next bus at 9.10am because he was not allowed onto the bus at Sewardstone Road was uncalled for, unprofessional behaviour and down right rude. I was then told to get off his bus...Arriva have already sent me complimentary tickets for bad service in the past. But the Customer Services Dept seem to take bad drivers, bad service and inappropriate behavior from there staff as a joke. The driver also told my son he will not be allowed on his bus ever. Now this is the only bus that runs along that road. I had to let the driver know how ignorant and pathetic his behavior was as I do not think customer Service will do nothing once I report it to them. The prices do not warrant the poor service given by the company or staff. I bet if they were fined on a regular basis their services would somehow improve dramatically.
