General Comments

I bought this rifle to get back into airgunning after a 2 year break. I have previously owned a couple of HW's, webleys, and theobens, aswell as a couple of pcp's, but spring guns seem to draw me back as they have a lot of "soul".
I bought the HC for the rearward weight bias, immediately replaced the spring and guides with a shotmaster tune kit, stripped the trigger down and polished the sears. The trigger is now very light, with a definable second stage and no creep.
The shotmaster tuning kit discernably speeds up the lock time, and mine ran at 11.3 ft/lb without any fettling.
Out of the box this rifle runs sweet and would be a better option than the HW97k for those that didn't want to tune the air rifle, it is also cheaper and shorter.
Pellet on pellet accuracy is achievable out to thirty yards with a consistent hold, and good trigger control, although I have found this rifle less hold sensitive that the HW's and even the prosport.
The machining of the rifle is excellent with three arrestor holes being provided for your scope mounts, and I would recommend a good set of mounts, the one piece mounts are the best for spring rifles.
The firing cycle is slower than the HW or most other spring rifles though you would only notice if you shot them side by side, and it is smooth and consistent, nudging you shoulder with a gentle thump, with very little piston bounce at the end. There is very little "twang" and the internals are relatively quiet. The piston runs in the breech block on a pair of delrin rings and this aids smoothness, and quietness.
This rifle is great for hunting, and HFT, and there are many custom stocked versions being used on the FT circuit.
I would highly recommend this rifle...
