I have spent over 20 years in law enforcment. I have fired and owned many differnet types of weapons. I have had the occasional though rare malfunction in those twenty years. I decided to buy a Kimber CDP II and experienced more jams/malfunctions in one night of shooting than I have had or been wittness to in my life! Kimber specifies that you should put 500 rounds thru the gun to break it in. I shot the required 500 rounds during which I never had one complete magazine fired without a malfunction (I also tried Wilson mags).I had other officers shoot it to prove it wasn't shooter induced(it jammed on them too) What is sad isthat this is supposedly acustom shop gun & my buddy bought a H&K at the same time for half of this $1300 paperweight and his gun functioned like a champ. I will still love my other 1911's like my Para and springfields but I will warn anyone who will listen to stay away.
