Good Points

When working, the site is well-designed, easy to use and navigate around, and has good functionality.


General Comments

During two 1-2 month periods in the past year, it has been impossible to log in on my account (and my wife's too on the first occasion). On both occasions, the customer support staff blamed us (because it said on their screen that we had entered incorrect data - which it would, as their system was failing to validate it) and refused to investigate it. They told my wife she needed to reset her login details - when these were sent through they did not work. After speaking to staff in the branch on a number of occasions, my complaint was taken high enough that it 'magically' fixed itself - but we received no apology. This problem has now recurred on my account.
As a web developer myself, who knows that taking the view that a website working for a majority of users means that it is bug-free, I have completely lost confidence in Nationwide's ability to manage their internet banking service, and am not willing to trust them with my finances any more.
