Bad Points
We attended the Christmas Party night on the 5th December 2008. The food (main course) was the worst I had ever been served. Service was so slow that by the time we had got our main course veg and potatoes were cold and when we asked for hot veg etc the main course was cold by the time it came. It was disastrous. The amount of food that went back on plates was enormous. There was so much food wasted.
I was very disappointed as I have two recommendations for the party night.
General Comments
I would like to say that when we arrived we were met with very friendly staff and no delay allocating our room, the room was comfortable with all the trimmings. Our kettle was not working and within half hour a tray with tea for two and a new kettle was brought to our room. The breakfast on Saturday morning was exceptional but with no pork because of the pork withdrawal, Sunday morning breakfast was disappointing, there was no effort made to make up for the loss of bacon and sausages. I thought that maybe grilled salmon or kipper would have been nice replacement rather than curried chicken.
