Good Points
There solid. Good, strong foam padding on the front covered by a strong composite/plastic shield. The accompanying ankle guards have comfortable and provide too armor for ankle bones.
Bad Points
The Velcro tabs use to fasten the leg belts can adhere to socks making socks a bit time consuming to put on. The corners of the Velcro tabs can poke your leg while you're wearing the guards. It's not painful but can cause a slightly distracting itch.
General Comments
These guards are comfortable and provide very good protection. The ankle guard portion of these guards is detachable, comfortable, and provides plastic cups for protection of the distal ends of the Tibia and Fibula bones (the bony lumps on the sides of your ankles). The shin guard portion of these guards is very solid with comfortable foam padding inside of a composite plastic shield; and provides excellent protection of lower and middle regions the Tibia (shin bone). I have worn these in every game; while I was a Defense/Midfielder and now as a Goal Keeper. I have been kicked and stepped on many times; these guards provide comfortable, pain-free protection.
