Good Points

The staff were excellent, the cabin stewards and catering staff gave 100% and went out of their way to make up for the deficiencies of the ship - food also good, although after two weeks it became a little dull - we enjoyed the evenings spent in the Oasis Restaurant.


Bad Points

Shore excursions, were very overpriced and did not offer value for money, complaints about the excursions were not followed up as promised and the shore excursion team were most unhelpful. If the ship cancelled your excursion you only received half your money back !!


General Comments

Med Cruise 4th Nov to 18th Nov 08
The ship is old and very tired and should either have a complete overhaul, or possibly be used again as a car ferry.
There were six in our party and we all had balcony rooms, we were disappointed in the quality of these rooms and the size of the balconies. The shore excursions were poor value for money, and any complaints were not followed up as promised, On a plus side the staff made up a lot for the deficiencies of the ship, Cabin stewards, (especially the guy on deck 9) catering staff and bar staff (the bar man in the lookout bar was always ready to give us a song and have a laugh) especially made the cruise a pleasure - The entertainment was OK, the shows were well presented. The food was very good, the Island Restaurant served a good variety of food, we sometimes had to queue for a table in the evenings but it was never more than a few minutes, and the Oasis Restaurant was fabulous (if you want to go in the Oasis I would advise booking.) As someone on the plane on the way to Palma said, lower your expectations and you will have a good time - they were right. - We did.
