Although I have heard some gripes about Bushmasters, I haven't any with mine. I would highly recommend these rifles to anyone looking for an AR 15. As a former US Army Ranger (1/75inf), I think that I am qualified to rate the Bushmaster XM15 E2S M4 as a very good firearm. After 1000 or so rounds, I have to give it a 10-- not one problem or malfunction, and very accurate for a 16in. barrel. I have experience with quite a few different firearms and brands. This Bushmaster seems to be every bit as good as a Colt for less money. Finish on this rifle is top notch also. Stay away from the steel cased ammo out there for ANY quality firearm for one reason-- it will speed up wear on parts. Nothing so far. 9 out of ten for value just because EVERYTHING costs too much. Compared to the other brands however, Bushmaster gets a 10 for value also.

Speaking of accuracy, the Bushmaster XM-15 is as accurate as Jeff has come to expect from Bushmaster rifles. 5/8" groups at 100 yards were the norm with Jeff's favorite varmint loads.
