The trusted name. Some 'phone staff are helpful, but no-one has any jurisdiction to actally make a decision on something which may not fit with their exact parameters.

General Comments

Be careful! What I was quoted is not what I was required to pay!
If you get a good premium quoted by a comparison site, the chances are they won't actually stand by it, particularly if you've been a 'previous customer' of the Post Office, which I guess includes many people... and in which case they'll add on about 25%!

dont know where you got 25% from, the insurer cannot offer the discounted price on-line if you have just declined a renewal from the insurer. if you have been a p/o customer in the past, you are still entitled to the discount, but not if you have just declined your renewal.

simple reason for this, brokers dont make any money what so ever from your first year ( unless you have a claim ) and the retentions dept ( renewals ) try the save as many as they can, that is why peoples premiums increase, the insurer is try to recover monies they have lost from the first year.
