Good Points

High specification, refined car-like ride, excellent build quality, distinctive more agressive look than predecessor. Comfortable stylish interior with high quality materials.
Smooth performance with good fuel economy. MPV like interior seat positional versatility.

Bad Points

Nothing REALLY bad - minor niggles - Side opening rear door restricts access to otherwise very versatile load space. Difficult battery access. Lever operated seat rake adjustment not very precise.

General Comments

I bought a Toyota RAV4 2.0 VX auto in September 2001.
The car looks great, is almost silent and very comfortable to be in. Most desirable extras (air/leather/power everything/LSD/CD auto) are standard on VX. SatNav an expensive but brilliant extra. I really can't say anything bad about the RAV 4. Money well spent.
