General Comments
I have been dealing with this company for many years, but their service has deteriorated. I stopped dealing with them because they got so bad. As I am now virtualy house bound, I decided to give them another try, at first attempt not too bad delivery, slow but goods arrived OK. Last and FINAL attempt a disaster!
I made a mistake on the order, and tried to contact them within minutes, no response to emails to begin with, eventual vague reply, takes 3 days to respond to further emails telling me that they had cancelled the order rather than amended as requested. I checked my bank statement to find that they had collected the money. I am pleased to say that after a further exchange of emails they have refunded the cash.

Dear Crossoldgit
I'm sorry you've had such a negative experience with us. December is our busiest time, so if problems are going to occur, this is often the time.
We do have a customer service department, truly! The problem is that at present they are overstretched due to the number of enquiries they receive. We expected to be in our new expanded premises six months ago to cope with the volume of business we now get, but building delays mean that we're not moving until summer 2009, at which point we'll have the room to employ more people.
One of the problems with our current software system is the inability to amend an order - even if it was placed only moments ago. We will be rolling out exciting new software soon which allow all the functionality our customers desire - including, I hope, a window of time in which orders can be amended.
One of the problems with all companies like ours, which can sadly probably never be fixed, is automation. We automate as much as we can to speed things up for you, our customer. Unfortunately, removing the human element means that when something goes wrong the response will always be slower than a non-automated system.
We hope you will reconsider coming back to us and we promise to do our best to get your orders out fast and accurate.
Best wishes
Abbi
