1. Small size, easy to carry on a belt in the right holder. Western Case Company of El Sugundo, CA makes the BEST case for this phone.
2. Terrific sound quality.
3. Number pad lights up. Very cool for night use.
4. Long stand-by batter life.
5. Charges quickly
6. I enjoy the dual band capablity when traveling.
7. I bought a car charger and hands free acceosry for $39.95 when I bught the phone. Both work quite well.
8. Voice mail indicator is very cool.
9. I get ALI so I can sreen calls first.
Bad Points
1) The supplied holster is junk. Bad clip and it falls from the holder.
2) Provider wanted to charge me $219 for the external antenna kit when all I needed was a docking station and the connection to an already existing cell antenna. I don't use a through the glass antenna becuase they perform poorly. Use NMO mounts and REAL antennas. Buying accessories for this phone is not a simple thing.
3. I was in some fringe areas and frequently dropped from cell access. Holding this phone inside the car in fringe areas has so-so results.
4. It is so small finding a safe nitch for it where you won't lose it under the seats is tough.
5. It is so small you COULD lose it.
General Comments
I bought this phone for a recent trip. It proved to be a good buy. I'm dissppointed that Motorola insists on a complicated and expensive external antenna scheme. I don't use through-the-glass or magnet-mount antennas. There appears to be no simple cable option to connect to a real antenna already installed on a vehicle.
