Was disappointed with Customer Service I received


General Comments

I placed an order online with Toys R Us for some Babies R Us products on 14/11/08 and was promised delivery by 20/11/08.
My order did not arrive so I emailed customer service and a replacement order was placed.
When I received a despatch notification email for the replacement order it showed that delivery was going to be made to an entirely wrong address (i.e. Northern Ireland instead of Scotland).
I contacted customer services again to tell them to change the address to the correct one. I then received a despatch confirmation showing that the goods had been sent to the wrong address!
By this time I had had enough so I contacted customer services again to ask for a refund which I was told I would get.
I did not receive the refund so I emailed them again.
This time I got a confirmation of yet another replacement order which I had not asked for. It was at least going to be delivered to the correct address but this time the product quantities were wrong!
I have demanded that they cancel this order and provide me with a refund as promised.
This time I spoke to customer services on the phone (as well as by email) and I am told that the second replacement order will be cancelled and I will now be refunded.
I note that they managed to debit my credit card on the day I placed the original order (14/11/08). This is the only part of the whole transaction that they have managed to complete successfully!
It is now 02/12/08 and needless to say I won't be holding my breath that the refund will be forthcoming any time soon!

I have since gone to a Toys R Us store and have purchased the goods. Oh how I wish I had done that in the first place! I have no complaints about the service I received instore.
