They sorted out our problems in the end.


Bad Points

Two days of uncertainty whether we'd get a holiday at all.


General Comments

We booked a holiday to Greece in January to go in July and Thomson rang up two days before departure and told us our hotel was overbooked and that we were to be transferred to another hotel in another resort. This was a tiny, quiet resort - complete opposite of what we'd originally booked. Thomson told us this was our only option or we'd have to cancel our holiday. When we rang up to complain they told us this information was wrong and that there was another hotel in a similar resort to the one we wanted to start with, which we accepted. However, it took hours in phone queues and being passed around among agents who had no clue about what to do and a 30 pound phone bill due to their expensive customer service line before we got to this stage.
We got a good holiday in the end but the days before were hell and I can't believe they messed us around like that so late when we'd booked months in advance. We felt like we were bumped just because we're young because I'm sure we weren't the last ones to book our rooms at that hotel.
