“Cheap, cheerful and reliable. It also has good...”

Bad Points
Some rattles - the suspension could be softer. Significant acceleration tails off around 70mph although it's happy to go faster. Although road holding is better than it appears to be, the steering can be a little too light at times. Check all the keys in all the locks as they might become stiff.
The boot space is not wonderful with the rear seats up - just about enough for a shopping trip to Sainsburys.

General Comments
Cheap, cheerful and reliable. It also has good acceleration yet is light on fuel and tyres. Servicing is cheap and parts are not that expensive and readily available. All round visibility is good, seats are firm but comfortable. The power steering makes turning effortless. Lots of accessibility in the engine bay. The clutch and brakes are light and effective.
Hatch door easy to open. Rear seats split and fold for huge carrying area.
High driving position may take a moment to get used to but is an advantage.
Mine has 56,000 miles on it and the engine is as good as new. No rust either.

A car that behaves like a whippet puppy. Really eager to go and starts every time. Funny to drive and not tiring. It looks like a 4x4 but isn't. (unless you get the 4x4 version of course!).
