I too got an email a few months ago telling me that if i downloaded more than 30gb a speed limiter would be put in place so that browsing and email were all i could do. well damn me it just took me 4 minutes to load this page, msn , bebo and various other sites i use just tell me that they cant load the web page. i did not sign up to an unlimited deal just so that they can LIMIT me to 30gb per month. im just wondering if anybody with legal knowledge could tell me if i have grounds to cancel due to them not providing me with the service that i signed up for

Write to the Billing Department, tell them that they are in breach of contract and that you refuse to pay the cancellation charge on those grounds. Send it by registered mail and ask for a written reply so you can escalate the issue through Otelo and Office of Fair Trading if necessary. I did and they waived the cancellation fee and modem fee! If you would like, I would be more than happy to post a copy of the letter I sent. Good luck and let us know how you get on!
