Good Points
A very clever concept for this with a disciplined mind.
Bad Points
NO RATE CUT.
General Comments
I have been a Virgin One customer for 9 years. I am very angry at the way we have all been left in the dark. I have today written a letter to the CEO of RBS. This letter has been copied to Robert Peston (Business Editor at the BBC) and Alistair Darling. It is true that our rate is not directly linked to the base rate but in the past movement up or down have been passed on within hours. The LIBOR rate is also a factor but this has dropped from 6.3% in October down to 3.98 NOW! We are experiencing a financial 911 and deserve to benefit from a rate cut. The BOE will I am sure go again next week. What happens then? If the bank had increased rates by 1.5% I imagine our rates would have gone up the next day.
