General Comments
Merlin is quite simply one of the best family dramas on British T.V in recent years. It does everything they do well in America but in a British way. This avoids it looking cheap and makes it instead charming when it cannot afford to be 'Hollywood' every story is special and unique. Full of suspense and fun.
Richard Wilson casts off Mr Meldrew with aplomb and the upcoming Colin Morgan has Star quality and depth in abundance. Anthony Head - who should be Doctor Who by now, is also excellent as Etherel King of Camelot. He flies from stubborn tantrum and homicide Prone Dictator to Loving Father in the blink of an eye and back again. John Hurt voicing the dragon is an inspired choice. All in all an absolute must see. T.V like this doesnt come along often enough and when it does there is no point in keeping the magic secret!
