General Comments

Phone to arrange transfer of current Churchill policy to another vehicle. Arranged for transfer to take place in 48 hours time. Asked if new premium quoted included our usual breakdown. Was told no and as the 'new' car was an older car there would be an increase in the breakdown premium also. So I said fine. Put phone down quickly told hubby he said cancel the breakdown as we could get it cheaper which was true as it was expensive combined with car insurance. (We just wanted to keep it all as one premium at the time) when I phoned he told me I wouldn't get a refund of premiums and I said that was fine. I had WRONGLY assumed he meant premiums to date. So he cancelled. I asked him to confirm my new payment and he quoted me the same premium. When I questioned this he said that it was including the breakdown premiums. So when I said I have just cancelled that he said I ' d still have to pay for it and from 48hrs it would be charged at the more expensive rate due to it being for the 'new' car. So I said well if that ' s the case then reinstate it. Told me basically that he wouldn't and couldn't and I was made aware. I was NOT made aware. He said no refund of premiums. Which I took as no refund of premiums paid to date. He should have made this clearer. I am writing to head office and trading standards. This is disgusting. I have been with them for 3 years. Will I use them again?
