Good Points

Cheap to run and insure. No one will nick it. You will never have a girlfriend when you own one of these unless she wants to marry to live here. People will think you are either mature or skint. The police won't stop you. The red ones are the fastest.

Bad Points

Noisy clutch on tickover. This is a common problem on these bikes. Will go on for ever so ignore. Exhausts rot to nothing where they join to the down pipes and replacing with a new four into one is often more than the bike is worth, so out with the welder and re-sleeve. Easy enough.

General Comments

Not the fastest 600 but was never meant to be. It's the Vauxhall Astra of the bike world. These things are pretty indestructable if you change the oil regularly (every 3000 miles). If the fork seals leak (and they will) pump the old oil out and when replacing with new oil, add about 40cc of STP Stop Leak to top up to the correct level, ride it for 150 miles and the leak will disappear. It works! And it's cheap.
