Bad Points

Chose Neff because I had one several years ago, but feel the don't make them like they used to!

General Comments

Having purchased two single Neff ovens (Neff B1442) last December, one of the ovens internal light has already expired. I have been unable to remove the bulb cover and despite heating the oven up at 100 degrees and dabbing the area with vinegar which, might I add, because of the positioning of this cap is not an easy task, still it will not shift (incidentally this is also the case with the other oven). I have been told that if Neff will send out an engineer, but if it is found to be grease I will be liable to a call out charge of about £72. I would like to hear of any other comments on this 'fault'. As the top of the cap is above the oven ceiling, it is very difficult to get a brush or anything else soaked in vinegar up there.

I've got exactly the same problem with this model of oven... I just can't remove the bulb cover. It's designed too close to the corner that you just can't grip around it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the same issue when trying to replace the bulb.
Having tried and failed to remove it using my hands or something to give extra grip (some elastic bands tied round the lamp cover for example) I called Neff Customer Services.

As the oven is outside of the warranty period, they could offer an engineer's visit (chargeable). When pushed, they offered to send me out a tool free of charge which arrived 2 days later and has done the trick.

The reference number for the tool is 613634.

I too have one of these ovens. The internal light failed just after the warranty expired. Attempts to remove the cover have come to nothing. Seeking assistance from Neff has not proved productive to date. I will try again armed with the info from the foregoing reviewer.
    Many thanks.
