We've had both our dogs insured all their lives with Direct Line, with no claims till now.
One dog has epilepsy and dementia. They've declined to pay anything towards the epilepsy because he had it mildly in the past and we didn't claim at that time.
The dementia treatment is ongoing. It has taken them forever to agree to pay for it, and now they want a fresh claim form filled in for every bill and countersigned by the vet. Invoices from the vet aren't good enough. It's mindless bureaucracy for no good reason. They must know the dog has dementia. They know how the vet is treating it. They know what it costs. Why won't they pay?
