Bad Points

Dont even get me started - EVERYTHING, they don't return phone calls, when they do they can't tell you anything and the companys they contract out to are USELESS.

General Comments

We had a flood from bathroom (toilet blocked and overflowed), ruined wooden units in bathroom, leaked through dining room ceiling and created a waterfall down one wall in dining room. Carpets ruined, wallpaper came off, ceiling about to fall down.
That was on 30th August, today is the 25th November and guess what, the dining room is in EXACTLY the same condition as the day it all happened. A company called Asprea were given the task of surveying damage and they in turn sub-contracted to Ansa (prev Mono Services).
Ansa were sent to measure up and re-fit new vanity units, bath panel & toilet unit. They came at beg of Oct, should have taken ONE day, today they are back for their 7th visit because it was measured up wrong, then it was measured again, then it was fitted wrong, then it was re-fitted and its STILL wrong, so today they are trying to put it right - although I dont believe in miracles. For all this time, everything from the bathroom has been living in our bedroom, hence our bedroom is a mess and you cant get to anything.
The dining room was cleared out 6 weeks ago, only for plasterer the discover ceiling needed replacing, not merely "skimming" as the job sheet implied (although he didnt actually HAVE a job sheet, not been given one). This then required surveyor from Ansa to come out and check additional work DID need to be done, which in turn required a variation order to be put through to Asprea, which then left us with NOTHING for another 3 weeks, apart from STRESS and us making 4 phone calls a day, only to deal with people who didnt have a clue.
Basically we have had to ring Ansa 4 times a day and when we get no joy we then have to ring Asprea - seems the two companys cant actually communicate unless we intervene and sort it out - I have asked them ring the other company while I am on hold, otherwise you cant get a straight answer.
So with a few weeks to go before Christmas, we are waiting for our ceiling to be ripped down and re-done and one wall needs plastering, this has to be left for a week to settle before decorating can commence. After the diabolic workmanship on the bathroom, I can honestly say I am DREADING what my dining room is going to look like. I really do not rate ANY of the work done so far by Ansa and we are going to see if there is a different company who can do the dining room, because we really have no faith in Ansa being competant enough.
We have been living like this since 30th August, with two children aged 3 and 18 months (& two dogs!), we have been living a nightmare, its beyond funny and its beyond acceptable.
