General Comments

My cat has urinary stones and therefore my premiums with Healthy Pets is high at £25 per month! I can't move him to another insurance because he would not be covered. He is now 14 and has been recently diagnosed as having hyperthyroidism. I noted that the excess for him was £75 or 20% of the bill whichever was the highest so I assumed 20%. I have now been told that on top of the 20% I also have to pay £50 for the first claim of the year! As I said before I cannot move to another insurance company as my cat would not be covered for anything! This insurance company has me up a creek without a paddle!

Surely the same would apply which ever insurance company you were with.

I am unable to move one of my dogs now because she has had cruciate ligament surgery, she may need further procedures on that leg so I'm also stuck.

But having had the luxury of choosing what I considered to be the best insurance company for my needs, I'm now quite happy with my decision.

On examaning Healthy Pets Terms and Conditions, the excess applied to policies is a standard excess of either £50 or £65 depending when cover was incepted/renewed. They do NOT deduct any percentage of any claims. Not sure where you go the 20% deduction from?
