General Comments

I had been with Norwich Union Direct for over 5 years insuring 2 cars with them. When I insured one of my cars with them in early August they told me I would have my insurance certificate the next day, it never came and I needed it so that the dealer I bought it from could tax it so that I could drive it home. The following days post arrived and still no insurance certificate, I called them and asked if they had posted it, I got transferred through to different people, eventually I was told that they had not yet posted it but they would do it straight away due to an admin fault. A week later and still no insurance certificate, so I rang again, this time I asked if I could have a copy of the insurance certificate emailed to me so that I could print it off myself, I was told that they couldn't do this, I explained that lots of other insurance company's do this and I was cut off.
Eventually on the 15th August I cancelled my policy and went with Swift Cover insurance where I printed my certificate myself there and then.
Norwich Union Direct charged me £30 for canceling the policy, even though I couldn't drive the car on their policy because I couldn't tax it without an Insurance Certificate. I wouldn't even recommend this company to my worst enemy.
