    It's free for us Girls - other than that, no a lot.


    Bad Points

    You can not tell whether a man is a fully paid up member or just browsing so its possible to send messages and for them to be left unread - the 'home' page shows photo's and a 'chat up line' but no clue to age/location, which can be annoying when you find yourself seemingly oggling 20 year old men when you're 40. Not a great selection of men from my area on there, but that's possibly not the websites fault - It also doesn't alert members what you're looking for. I've received numerous messages from the one night stand/married man brigade who haven't bothered reading my full profile so just presume I'm 'looking' for *fun*. The introductory profile you can see has too much info of the wrong quality information on it, which doesn't encourage anyone to read what you've actually said in your description.


    General Comments

    I've used a few 'dating' sites over the past year and can not really say that I've had a good experience of any of them - to tell the truth I find social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace far better as you actually get to know the likes and personality of the 'new friends' and there's no pressure to give out personal emails etc. I definitely wouldn't spend money to use any of them, so don't blame men who do either.

    GDFF was one of the first 'dating' sites I signed up to and in the months I've been on there I can count the amount of 'serious' replies I've had to messages sent on one hand. Most of the men in my age group (40's) on there are either married/cohabiting or have a big hang-up about the fact that Girls date for free and resent having to pay their £6.99 (as said before I don't blame them)

    Men will 'look' at your profile numerous times, add you to their favorites and then not reply to a message you've sent, because of the reason above - now I don't see the point in that but hey!

    I'm removing my profile from GDFF and will continue to play scrabble, scramble and card games with new friends on FB
