Diamond are definately NOT a Girls best friend. They are out to rip you off as much as they can and provide the worst service ever.


General Comments

I had my insurance with Diamond for about 3 years and renewed it ever year when they sent the renewal through, no problems. However, this year they decided not to send me a renewal, just a letter stating they were sorry I was leaving them and that my policy was cancelled! I did not cancel the policy and did not advise them that I was going else where. They therefore left me driving around for a week with no insurance! When I called then to find out why they had done this, I was constantly put on hold and they even hung up on me a couple of times. When they did set the policy back up, the price was substantially higher than before, but as I need the insurance, I had no choice but to pay it. However, 2 weeks later, I received a letter from Diamond, stating that they had made a mistake with the policy and that I had to pay an extra £94 in order for the policy to stay valid! Again, I had to call them to find out why this was and they said it was because I didn't declare an accident I had had 2 years previously. I DID declare the accident and was told this was all fine as it wasn ' t even my fault and it had all been settled 2 years prev IOU ' s. Diamond refused to back done and said that if we didn't pay the extra money, they policy wouldn't be valid. At this point we told them to stuff it and got a policy thought the post office for £275 LESS!
