None for the customer.
They sit on your money for three days before you can get hold of it. They take money out of your account earlier than you expect and before due dates.
General Comments
My biggest mistake was opening a basic account with HSBC. If you make three mistakes they close you down. That could be just having a direct debit come in 'early'. It doesn't matter if the amount is very small - under ten pounds - it will not be paid out but you will be penalised. If you make three 'mistakes' they close you down and you are left with no account and they give you a bad credit rating so you cannot open another basic account any where else. Those three mistakes could happen in one week or over twenty years - they do not care.
