Looks good. Efficient wash


Bad Points

Spin cycle whine is unbearable


General Comments

Would not have bought this Hoover OPH714D if I realised the spin was so noisey. That's a shame because it spoils a good machine

    Still not happy with spin whine. Even next door neighbour can hear it screaming like a banshee. Contacted Hoover again. They sent an engineer who says that's how they sound... I don't have delicate hearing It's not me as others have commented on the noise. As for the cat she goes into hiding when it starts. Mind you if the shrill went up one more pitch, then only she and dogs would only be able to hear it... which would be a blessing for us humans.
    Anyway, if you want a washing machine that sounds like a jet plane taking off on a long haul flight then this is for you. If, however, you value your sanity and ears... keep clear of this machine
