Good Points

It's easy to learn and familiarize yourself with, there are endless amounts of tutorials and help guides that walk you through everything you could ever want to do in the community. It is quaint, and friendly, makes you feel really welcome and a true part of the community - offers tons of options like any other community, like wiki space, blog/journal/diary options, uploading and sharing photos, but because of the basis behind it, it also functions well, and like it is supposed to, for not only socializing, but for learning, sharing, and networking too. I am now a published author - and I found my publisher through this community! It is an excellent way to hang around, chat, share and grow, learn, network and seek advice/give advice all in one place, all at the same time.

Bad Points

There can be a lot of bugs around update times, but the beautiful thing about Elftown is that even the bad points are truely bad points, because the community is closely knit ith the people who run it, that you have tons of different ways to communicate with the staff, and have your voice heard quickly, and easily. And because it's not a corporate drone owned site, the beauty of it is that the staff actually *listen* and *interact* with you.

General Comments

I love Elftown, it has become the epicenter of all my online activiy, because everything that interests me or that I could need is all right there - freinds, creativity, community, education, step-by-step help, work, even some of my family is on Elftown too. And, it has quick links to Amazon and Google and other related sites that make it easy to search outside of Elftown too - without ever switching pages. This is just all around everything you want in a community, without the downfalls of being *too* big owned by a corporate company that doesn't have the social interaction with the community, and the greatest thing of all is that Elftown is NOT overrun with bots! Some people might be turned off by the screening part of the application to join, but really, no one gets turned down, it's just a feature put in place to try to keep out the duplicate accounts, fake accounts and bots - so this is a beautiful thing that helps the community and members greatly by keeping out the unwanted irritations, so people shouldn't be turned off by it. If you like Fantasy, Scifi or interested in any type of art, literature or anything else of a creative nature - this is absolutely the place to be.
