the broadband is quite good

nothing until i phoned customer services today


General Comments

so in june i phone virgin media and ask them to rack down my package, i drop to 2 meg broad band and do away with the films and sport. i informed the very helpfull lady in customer services that i dont want to be forced into a contract as i will be leaving the property at any time , this she tells me is ok and puts a note on my account. allways be carefull and state that you dont want to enter into a contract when you change anything with your package they restart your 12 month contract !!!!!! yesterday i recieved a bill for there sevices and decided to do away with the phone.i call cutomer services and the nice lady tells me thats ok your not under contract i will put you through to the right department.(THIS IS WHEN IT ALL GOES WRONG) i inform the girl that i want to do away with my phone she says that i am under contract until june i tell her that there is a note on my account saying that i am not under contract,well she will not budge as far as she is concerned i am under contract the situation now decends into who will listen to who in the end i realise that she has no intentions of helping me and its best that i cool down and take stock of whats going on.i ask her for customer complaints and she gives me an adrress. i felt she was rude. Here is virgin medias complaints number 01256752000, call them and my call is answered almost instantly.i tell the guy what has happened and he looks into it .he finds that i have a note on my account saying that i am not in contract and he is going to get someone to ring me back. i do hold a little hope that someone will.well the outcome for me is that i am now leaving virgin media.if you do ask for any changes and request to opt out of a contract like me insist on them putting it in writing.
