Good Points

Worked very well for me until it stopped. I was able to take a huge, and WONDERFUL, set of laser disks and record everything, video to dvd and sound to cd, off of them, all nice quality and the recordings play on everything I've put them into.


Bad Points

And then one day it wouldn't eject the dvd which is still in it. It evidently will still erase and record (it's a dvd-rw), but I've tried everything I could think of or find online (no little paperclip hole) and nothing will get that door open. Sounds as if the actual cover of the sliding tray is jammed, whenever I tell it to eject I can hear it trying. I've had it apart and can't see any way to get to the mechanics of the door, short of breaking it off...


General Comments

This seems to happen to LOTS of owners of MANY brands, many well-known ones. These things should ALL have the little paper-clip hole, even though I know that won't always work. The LiteOn people have not yet as far as I am aware replied to the email I sent them requesting some help with this. Not impressed, but I loved it while it worked.
